Actually I've been reading this book since I was in the Junior High School. At first, I was not interested in this. I thought it's kind of boring.
My friend brought this comic to school and I borrow it. Now I have all series of this book.
The first time I read this Wow I feel like it's real. The story is so fantastic. Besides, I feel like I really want to play piano wholeheartedly like Kai Ichinose.
The story begin when Amamiya Shuhei moved to the place where Kai Ichinose lived. In his new school, Amamiya Shuhei get bullied. Those who bullied him ask him to play the mysterious piano in the forest. A broken piano in the forest.
When Shuhei Amamiya find the piano, he could not make any sound of the piano. Then Ichinose Kai comes. Kai magically plays the piano. It is not a broken piano, it's a real life piano which can produce nice sound.
One day, a piano contest was held. Shuhei Amamiya whose father is a pianist take part. Ichinose Kai also wants to participate. He wants to play the song puppy of waltzes, his first Chopin. However, Kai is not made it through to the next round because the judges considered his rude behavior.
Kai becomes so sad. He comes to Ajino, who used to be a talented pianist. Kai asks Ajino to tell him the technique and the procedure to play piano. Studying with Ajino makes him become so in love with piano.
A few years later, Kai wants to take part in Chopin contest. Armed with his painful past experiences, Kai joined the Polish Chopin piano contest.
The story is not over yet.
In my opinion, the character of Kai ichinose is just like mein Geigelehrer. He is so free. Free to play music with passion. I think mein Geigelehrer und Ichinose Kai is really similar.
NB: I never watch the movie. I just read the manga.
I like this manga.
